Before meeting Theodora and her family (wait for the next blog!) we popped in to see Nic and The Messenger Partnership in Oldham. Messenger is a multi agency partnership focusing on CSE in Greater Manchester. They are based out of the Barnardo’s offices in Oldham, which creates a neutral venue for young people and families to visit.

The partnership are involved in preventative work as well as various forms of intervention with young people and families. They provide group work sessions for young people, as well as one to one support including therapeutic trauma support. It was also great to hear about the work the partnership have been doing to raise the profile of CSE in local communities by offering training to faith communities and the night time economy!

Our time with the team was short but definitely well worth it! Thank you to Nic and team for letting us come and see what great work you are doing in and around Oldham!
