It was a sunny winter day when we made the journey up the M6 to hear about the work of the Wigan Sexual Exploitation And Missing Team! We thought we were going to meet a couple of members of the Multi Agency Team however we were pleasantly surprised to see the whole team out in force to share the story of Theodora Jones and her family. The Seam Team is based in Wigan and Leigh, working with young people and their families. We loved the creative way in which the SEAM Team took us through their processes from the initial referral through to the exit strategy.

The way the team worked in partnership seemed to be a real strength to the work they are doing to help keep young people safe. We were very grateful to the Lowton Girl’s Group who are part of the SEAM team, who showed us the resource pack they have created and use to run awareness raising workshops in and around the county, great work! Thank you to Kath and the whole team for hosting us so well!
