Sports clubs in Bradford are being sent letters of advice to help them tackle the risk of child sexual exploitation

SPORTS clubs are being issued with letters highlighting what they can do to tackle child sexual exploitation (CSE) following recent reports of historic sexual abuse in professional football.

The move was revealed at a meeting of Bradford East Area Committee by Jenny Cryer, of the Bradford CSE Hub, after the issue was raised by Councillor Rizwana Jamil (Lab, Bowling and Barkerend).

The VOICE project will generate crucial research data for the European sport community by listening to the voices of those that have been affected by sexual violence in sport.

The resulting evidence-base will provide a platform for powerful knowledge-exchange opportunities and educational resources.

Whilst we have managed to interview victims we need to try to reach those who have been abused through sports clubs and activities to hear their experience to inform those who can affect cultural change.
