Learning from the lockdown
England and Wales are in lockdown. This means that, once again, vulnerable children risk becoming isolated from the support they rely on.

Last year, we launched a £6.4m COVID-19 grant round to help agencies adapt their work and reconnect with the children they serve. But we didn’t just want to provide funding. We wanted to make sure that others could learn from their experience.

That’s why we commissioned a team, led by Dartington Service Design Lab, to speak to over 100 of our grantees about the unprecedented challenges they faced and what they learned along the way. Their wisdom forms the basis of our first Insights Brief – Engaging young people during the COVID-19 pandemic – which we’re delighted to share with you.

The Briefing offers clear, practical advice on how you can continue to build strong, positive relationships even at a time of social distancing.
