It’s been a busy but productive month for the Alliance; thanks to all our members for their contributions.

We hosted an expert roundtable in partnership with ECPAT International on tech, privacy and keeping children safe. Keep an eye out for a summary of our discussion and recommendations.

We also had several members engaged in a Steering Group meeting for our next Global Threat Assessment, due to be published later this year. These multi-sector experts have been helping us quality assure our methodology, hypotheses and approach so that we can produce a comprehensive analysis of the threat and response to child sexual abuse online.

Over the coming weeks and months we will be adding new services to our website and online communication channels, so please watch out for future announcements in these emails.

IMPLEMENTING THE GLOBAL STRATEGIC RESPONSE TO CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE ONLINE

The GSR  provides objectives and a comprehensive strategy for collaboration, coordination and shared learning to eliminate CSEA online at global and regional levels.

Our new Guidance Note aims to:

·        Share good practice and ways to overcome practical challenges for joint learning and collaboration;

·        Foster global, regional and national collaboration between all stakeholders who have a role to play in eliminating CSEA online;

·        Signpost readers to relevant guidance, research and initiatives.

Call it what it is: CSAM not CP The Alliance and some of our members are supporting a campaign to promote the use of accurate language when talking about child sexual abuse material.
