Government announces move to Plan B measures

The Prime Minister announced the move to Plan B measures in England on Wednesday. 

From 10 December you must wear a face-covering in most indoor public places, at large venues and events, and on public transport. From 13 December, you should work from home if you can. From 15 December you’ll need to show your NHS COVID Pass at nightclubs, some venues and large events to show you’re fully vaccinated, have had a negative test result in the last 48 hours, or you have an exemption.

Drug strategy published

The government published a new Drug Strategy on Monday, to reduce the supply and demand for drugs and deliver a high-quality treatment and recovery system. The 10-year plan aims to tackle drugs and prevent crime, backed by the largest ever increase in funding for drug treatment.

Victims Bill consultation launched – deadline 3 February

The Justice Secretary set out plans for a first-ever Victims’ Law that would guarantee greater consultation with victims during the criminal justice process, to ensure their voices are properly heard. 

The Victims Bill consultation will consider how we can make concrete improvements to victims’ experience of and confidence in the criminal justice system, and their support. You can respond to the consultation online.
