End to End Encryption Campaign

We would also like to draw your attention to the “No Place to Hide” (www.noplacetohide.org.uk) on end-to-end encryption (E2EE) that went live today – 18 January 2022. As part of a wider strategy to encourage Meta and other tech giants to implement E2EE in a way that does not put children at risk, the Home Office has commissioned PR Agency M&C to develop and deliver an arms-length communications campaign, to inform public opinion on the issue.
The campaign aims to increase the number of stakeholders campaigning on this issue and positively influence the media conversation on the harmful impact E2EE could have on child safety. The end goal is to persuade social media giants to rethink current E2EE plans and incorporate a ‘safety first’ approach.
We would welcome any support partners can provide whether by sharing the website, video or sharing support using the #noplacetohide. Details on how to do this are below:
