I am a journalist who is reporting on the under-reported issue of the risks unique to girls and young women who are criminally exploited by gangs. I am writing a deep-dive feature on this for The Guardian and wondered if I could speak to a survivor (who can remain anonymous), who could shed insight into the day-to-day lived experience of this group, and what would have helped them to safety. Ideally, this individual will have fairly recent experience (< 2 years). I am a former social worker, and will handle any conversation with the utmost care and respect – any information a survivor can provide will go a long way to raising awareness of this issue on a national scale.
