| We are pleased to inform you that a competition for external bids under the Home Office Modern Slavery Fund is now open: Call for bids: multi-year project proposals to tackle modern slavery and humantrafficking in and from Romania – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) . Projects should contribute towards an overall impact of reducing the number of Romanians trafficked to the UK and strengthening related UK and Romanian national responses .The Home Office and British Embassy Bucharest are looking to award funds for projects between approximately £50,000 – £120,000 to be delivered between this summer and March 2025 .The deadline for submitting project bids is 18May 2023 . Full details on the scope, requirements and how to bid are available from the above link. The British Embassy in Bucharest have had interest from Romanian NGOs who are seeking to partner with UK civil society on a joint bid – specifically to cooperate on working with Roma communities, or ensuring the safe repatriation of survivors to Romania, and/or working closely with the police (e.g. on campaigning, training , intervention). If you are interested in being put in touch with these organisations , please contact [email protected] .You can also use this email address for any questions regarding the call forbids or to express an interest in being connected with a Romanian organisation on a specific project idea. |
