On Child Exploitation Awareness Day, March 18th 2024, come and watch an episode of the acclaimed BBC drama, Three Girls, which depicts the true story of three young girls who were groomed, sexually abused, and trafficked by a group of men in Rochdale, and how the authorities failed to do anything about it.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with several professionals (including DS Maria Giannakidou from the Police Exploitation Team in Brent, Barnet and Harrow and Donna Thornley, Consultant Nurse for Safeguarding Children in Brent), exploring what has changed in the decade since Rochdale and what concerns remain when it comes to exploitation. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience.

There is a limited number of free tickets, and it’s first come first served across Brent Council and partner agencies.
