In previous summers WMVRP has produced an interactive map that is publicly available online, showing communities/other professionals where local provision for children and young people is across the region during the school summer holidays.

For Summer 2024, we need your help to populate this map and make it as comprehensive as possible; to do this, please can you complete this super quick VRP Summer Provision Survey. VRP then take this info and build the aforementioned interactive map. For this survey, we specifically want responses from providers that relate to non-sports-related activity. For all sports-related/physical activity provisions, in conjunction with our strategic sports partner StreetGames, we’d be really grateful if you could please complete the VRP Community Sport Survey. As well as informing the summer provision map, completing the VRP Community Sports Survey will also support StreetGames with their work to understand and audit sports-related and physical activity provision that is on offer across the region throughout the year. Every response to the survey helps StreetGames to collate and build a more detailed understanding of provision, with sessions captured centrally and geographically mapped, identifying areas of high provision and where there may be gaps. Such insight can then be overlaid with other analyses, such as areas of deprivation and wider determinants of youth violence and exploitation. By working with local partners (across the public, community and voluntary sectors) this work will seek to inform future service commissioning, delivery and evaluation.

We know your time is precious, but we need your and your organisations’ help to ensure we can easily share provisions available over the summer and, the long term, better understand the landscape concerning sports and physical activity provision across the West Midlands.

• For all non-sports activities, please complete the VRP Summer Provision Survey.
• For all sports specific and physical activity provisions, please complete the VRP Community Sports Survey.
• Where relevant, info from the VRP Community Sports Survey will be used in the summer provision map.
