Piloting Devolved Decision Making for Child Victims of Modern Slavery
Posted on
The Devolved Child Decision-Making Pilot is a Home Office pilot in which decisions about whether children are victims of modern slavery are made by local safeguarding partners, rather than centrally by the Home Office competent authorities.
There are two current pilot sites in Wales – (1) Cardiff and (2) Newport with Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Monmouth and Caerphilly.
The Home Office have asked us to share that they are launching the Devolved Decision-Making Pilot Grant Competition, aimed at expanding the pilot to additional sites. The competition is now live and open to applications. The closing date for submitting bids is 14 May 2025. The Home Office encourage all interested parties to review the details and consider applying.
Full details of the competition, including how to apply for funding, are available on the UK Government portal here: Piloting Devolved Decision Making for Child Victims of Modern Slavery
