Association of Child Protection Professionals Film: ‘System Crasher’

Posted on

Dear Colleague

In light of current challenges, we are in partnership with 606 Distribution to bring the film: ‘System Crasher’ direct to you in your homes.

You can see the most recent review by film critic, Mark Kermode here and an interview with me about the film’s importance here.

It is a powerful story that needs to be told, so we ask that you share this link with colleagues, friends and other professional groups.

Over the coming weeks we plan to discuss different topics and the challenges which professionals face daily. Look out for our Podcasts, led by experts, which will include: early in childhood experiences and the lifelong effects; unregulated placements; working with complex parents; impacts on teachers; CAN; exploitation and so much more.

This situation in which we find ourselves in is unprecedented, but we know the effects and impact of child abuse will not go away. At times like this, some children are likely to feel isolated and forgotten, so we ask you to keep the conversations alive and share information with your colleagues. If you are working on current cases, please share the film link as it provides good reflective learning in these difficult times.

I ask that everyone stays safe and keeps up to date with us on our website, facebook site and Twitter.

If you are not a current member, joining now  – from as little as £8 a month  – will give you a host of benefits including exclusive online access to our Journal: Child Abuse Review, all the latest news and updates and our Podcasts and the chance to connect with colleagues and experts from all aspects of  Child Protection.

Yours sincerely

Wendy Thorogood
