Compiling the latest statistics and policy developments, the report highlights never seen before data on immigration outcomes for child victims, secured through Freedom of Information Act requests. This snapshot report draws on our experience of working with trafficked young people, professionals and policy makers over more than 25 years; raising concerns about the UK’s current response to child trafficking and providing priority recommendations to the government to ensure all children are protected from exploitation. Following the publication of ECPAT UK’s Child trafficking in the UK 2020: A snapshot report and shocking FOI data on the number of victims granted leave to stay in the UK, this free hour-long webinar will look at the challenges child victims of trafficking face in the UK’s immigration system, the immigration avenues available to children as well as why and how practitioners should support young people to secure their immigration status. We’re pleased to now open this year’s public nominations for our Children’s Champion for 2020! This year, we’re encouraging members of the public to nominate the individuals who have gone above and beyond for trafficked children. Each nominee will be scored against their demonstrations of the three key characteristics outlined below: Child centredness, Kindness and Advocacy.
