Episode 11 – Let’s talk residential homes
In today’s episode our police and justice lead Lin, is joined with our guest speaker Jacqui McCann who is the Managing Director of JMC Consulting Ltd. Jacqui is a Safeguarding Consultant, Accredited Trainer, and an experienced Independent Visitor.
Jacqui also holds a level 3 in Education and training, Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), Level 2 in Counselling Skills and Level 2 in self-harm and suicide Prevention and an Hons Degree in Equine Science.
She holds a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management with Children and Young People and is currently studying MA Professional Practice with Children and Young People.
Throughout the various studies Jacqui has completed she has developed training packages to improve practice at all levels of individuals working with children who are looked after. Jacqui is passionate to ensure the voice of the child is at the centre of practice and can offer bespoke training to specific areas of knowledge.
Jacqui has specialised in working with children who have been impacted by exploitation and is an advocate to ensure their voices are heard their voices are considered in decisions made around their care.
Jacqui lives in Cumbria and is married with one son and has successfully combined her lived and professional experience with her deep-rooted passion for all children looked after in the UK.
