This session provides attendees with an overview and understanding of how artificial intelligence can be abused to create child sexual abuse material and how to respond to these offences.

For practitioners to effectively support children who have been victims of AI-generated child sexual abuse material, it is important to understand the harmful implications of AI-generated CSAM in perpetuating abuse cycles and facilitating new forms of digital exploitation.

The latter section of the event will be chaired by the Tackling Child Sexual Abuse Unit of the Home Office UK and aims to obtain insights from practitioners on what they are hearing concerning this harm type and set out the appropriate safeguarding procedures and legislative footing for these offences, and establish what resources would be beneficial moving forward as this technology continues to evolve.
