The Helena Kennedy Centre and ECPAT UK are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Regional Learning Event (East Midlands): “Creating Stable Futures: Implementing a Positive Outcomes Framework for Children and Young People who have Experienced Human Trafficking.” This free event aims to provide a comprehensive exploration of strategies and tools to support frontline practitioners and managers in developing effective services for young people affected by human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation.

Aims and Relevance of Training:

During the event, we will:

• Discuss the broader landscape of human trafficking, modern slavery, and exploitation, internationally, domestically and regionally
• Consider and utilise specific case studies
• Introduce the Creating Stable Futures Positive Outcomes Framework to frontline practitioners and managers who develop and implement services for young people affected by human trafficking, modern slavery and/or exploitation
• Introduce participants to a Practice Tool designed to enable conversations between practitioners and young people and that allows practitioners to ‘tune in’ to the experiences and needs of young people

Who should attend?

This learning event is suitable for professionals who have a good understanding of the dynamics of child trafficking and the different ways in which children and young people are exploited. Attendees should be familiar with the National Referral Mechanism and with immigration and asylum processes.

We welcome team managers, service leads and strategic decision makers within children’s social care, police, health and education, colleagues working for Strategic Migration Partnerships, and voluntary sector organisations working in this sector.
