Improving services for care leavers with care leavers

New Belongings is a three-year programme that worked with 8 local authorities to help them develop their services based on engagement and involvement of young people leaving their care.

In this free seminar Ian and Claire will explain how the New Belongings programme worked and share the key tools used. They will also discuss how authorities engaged with their young people to co-produce solutions for the difficulties young people faced on leaving care. We will also hear about the Stockport Council video doorbell scheme and how it has not only supported individual care leavers, but also helped to leverage in additional resources and greater awareness in partner agencies about the work they need to do to support care leavers.
