Navigating MACE (Multi-Agency Child Exploitation Responses)
An exploratory session for understanding the strengths and barriers to Multi-Agency Child Exploitation meetings.
We hope to have partners who chair or co-chair MACE arrangements attend this meeting.
Join us to uncover the strengths, opportunities, barriers and challenges that come with leading Multi-Agency Child Exploitation meetings. We will share findings on what we have learnt about the current positions from MACE, and summarise learning reports about what nationally is known about MACE. This online session will be an opportunity to learn from other geographical areas about their experiences of disrupting exploitation. There may be key learning or questions to take to your own local safeguarding arrangements to build on your ways of working.
The aim of the event is to:
– Increase a shared awareness of the gifts within your roles.
– Share findings regarding the barriers and discover the areas for growth within your areas.
– To get you thinking about whether there are any changes you and your colleagues could make to better identify and support people affected by child exploitation.
-An opportunity to identify what additional support would be needed for effective MACE working.
The event will be hosted online via Microsoft Teams
We hope to understand within this session if a mutual space for learning would be appreciated and what other topics within MACE arena you would want to build on. In future meetings we hope to build on the models of discussion and disruption you utilise within your arrangements.
If you have been to a previous session please do not book onto this session.
