NWG Diversity Forum Organised by NWG
The Diversity Forum is aimed at professionals and others who work or have a vested interest in safeguarding Children and families from all marginalised communities.
Learning outcomes and objectives:
- Provide opportunities for practitioners to discuss and debate issues relating to the sensitive nature of Child Exploitation, to network, share good practice, discuss challenges and seek solutions with an Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion focus.
- Provide opportunities for Guest speakers to share effective practice and new developments.
- Provide a safe space for discussions take place in a secure and confidential environment.
- Develop and share good practice in combating child exploitation through the lens of Equality & Diversity and inclusion.
- To work in partnership with members and organisations to eliminate systemic inequalities in safeguarding CYP from marginalised/minority communities; Including but not exclusively those that identify as Black, Asian and other minorities, LGBTQ+ and SEND.
- Help both organisations/members to be innovative and to find new ways to reach and support young people at risk or harm from CE
- Be part of efforts to amplify the voices of young people and families and communities impacted by CE.
