October Theme – At this NWG Education Forum there will be further opportunities to share learning and practice around education and exploitation. There will be a presentation from Jon Le Fevre from the Department of Education about ensuring that education is effectively included in local safeguarding arrangements. There will also be inputs from Debra Walker about some proactive work in Stoke about school exclusions and Lea- Anne Bentley about building safety and belonging in education settings across the West Midlands.

If you are an education practitioner working with exploited children and young people, then this forum is to support you in your work and help you maximise your impact.

The forum enables practitioners to, amongst other things:

• Network and gain informal support
• Share and find solutions to common frustrations and challenges
• Listen and respond to the voices/experiences of children and their families.
