NWG Working alongside parent Forum Organised by NWG

Online Free

The NWG runs online forums for our members to share practice and learning where strategic and frontline practitioners are encouraged to share key developments and practices identified in areas for future focus and discussions.

We learn from national, regional and local developments including research, policy and emerging practice. We try to cover subject matters that attendees at the forum wish to know more about.

This forum for professionals focuses on how we can enhance the response to parents/carers affected by exploitation. It is an opportunity to learn from each other, share challenges and what works to support you in your work and help maximise your impact.

Join us to hear from the CACE team at East Sussex discuss how they are developing a culture of working alongside parents as a key partner in the response to exploitation and how they are enabling and empowering affected parents. We are also joined by NWG Education and Transitions Lead Steve Baguley who will be sharing some of the learning from post 16 safeguarding work and how we can include and work with parents/carers. There will also be opportunities to discuss what is happening in your area and example of emerging practice.

The forum enables practitioners to, amongst other things:

Network and gain informal support
Share and find solutions to common frustrations and challenges
Listen and respond to the voices/experiences of children and their families.
