An Evaluation of the Pilot to Devolve Decision-Making for Child Victims of Modern Slavery
The devolved decision-making pilot evaluation was conducted jointly by the Home Office Analysis and Insights (HOAI) team working in partnership with research partner, Ipsos UK. It presents the findings of the evaluation of the pilot covering the first year from June 2021 to June 2022. Overall the evaluation assessed that the pilot was seen as successful. The Government is working closely with local authorities and stakeholders to monitor and learn from the pilot and identify devolved decision-making best practice. Read more here. 

Independent Child Trafficking Guardian (ICTG) MSA evaluation
HOAI and Ipsos UK conducted an ICTG evaluation covering the period May 2021 to April 2022 aimed to evaluate changes to the ICTG scheme based on recommendations made in the Independent Review of the Modern Slavery Act. These included the introduction of a Post-18 Worker role to provide continuing support to children following their 18th birthday, and a Regional Practitioner role to provide one-to-one support to children who have a figure of parental responsibility in the UK. The evaluation identified several learnings, including the need for continued awareness-raising of the service, a focus on relationship-building with other statutory services, and sharing best practice across the ICTG service.

Albanian Cultural Resources
The Modern Slavery Organised Immigration Crime Unit has launched Albanian Cultural Resource handouts. The resource was launched as a webinar to law enforcement. This resource aims to provide an insight into the Albanian culture. Police officers who are equipped with tailored cultural resources that acknowledge and appreciate specific cultural needs are better positioned to gain the necessary trust of modern slavery victims and support them appropriately. Knowledge Sharing Sessions
The Human Trafficking Foundation is hosting a series of Knowledge Sharing sessions for the anti-slavery sector. The Knowledge Sharing sessions differ from the HTF Advisory Forums by solely having one organisation speaking on a specific topic. ATLEU 2024 training programme 
The Anti-Trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit has published its 2024 training programme for those supporting and advising survivors of trafficking and modern slavery. Upcoming sessions include Immigration overview (10am-12pm 5th June), Modern Slavery overview (10am-12pm 12th June) and Legal Challenges session (1-3pm 26th June). Access the whole programme here. 

Snowdrop’s Modern Slavery & Trauma Training
The Snowdrop Project is offering a range of training modules aimed at professionals who support survivors of trauma and modern slavery. Delivered by facilitators with years of direct experience, all sessions are interactive and provide opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills. Topics include “advocating for survivors with complex needs”, and “managing vicarious trauma”. More information is available on Snowdrop’s website here. Vacancies
The Medaille Trust Vacancy
The Medaille Trust provides frontline support to survivors of modern slavery through safe housing, community awareness projects and partnerships with local authorities and law enforcement. They are recruiting for a Modern Slavery Case Worker in Manchester (Deadline: 17th June 10am). Find out more and apply here.

Snowdrop Vacancy
The Snowdrop Project provides long-term support to survivors of modern slavery and exploitation, helping them recover from their pasts and rebuild their futures. They provide specialist advocacy, counselling and community programmes tailored to the needs of survivors. They are recruiting for the role of Senior Casework (Deadline: 5pm 10th June). Apply here. 

Anti-Slavery International Vacancy 
Anti-Slavery International work with survivors of modern slavery, partner organisations, responsible businesses and governments  to challenge and change the systems that enable modern slavery to exist. They are currently recruiting for a Public Affairs Officer (Deadline: 16th June). Apply here. 
HTF Resources   Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) Consultancy
Ready to take your anti-trafficking efforts to new heights? The Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) was established to ensure the expertise of those with lived-experience is embedded in the work of the anti-trafficking sector and is made up of independent consultants who co-work with HTF. LEAP can offer the development and delivery of training, provide expert advice on policy documents, and more. Find out more here and submit a request for LEAP consultancy. 

HTF’s Survivor Hub 
Survivor advocates and HTF have created an online Survivor Hub, a place for survivors to find opportunities for work and paid research participation, to find resources on education, housing support, the NRM, mental health support and includes directories of support providers and legal advisors across the country. Please share this widely in your networks. If your organisation has resources or opportunities that you would like included please email [email protected].

HTF’s Emergency Support Fund
The Human Trafficking Foundation’s Trafficking Emergency Support Fund is available to help victims of human trafficking and modern slavery with small one-off grants to meet their immediate needs when no other sources of funding are available. If you are a support worker, you can see guidelines and complete an application form here on behalf of your client and email it to [email protected].

London Modern Slavery SPOC Directory 
The Human Trafficking Foundation has been working with local authorities in the Greater London area to support the development of their response to modern slavery and human trafficking. As part of this, we produce an annual directory of Modern Slavery Single Points of Contact/Champions in statutory authorities across London including representatives within the NHS, police and local authorities. London Directory of Services 
HTF has created a Directory of Services, bringing together details of support agencies for survivors of modern slavery across London.
