Book your place for the launch events hosted by Sport England and NWG, presenting survivor and lived experience voice resources.

17th September- Reading

18th September-Sheffield

We have created a suite of resources, developed with input from diverse voices. We seek to educate and raise awareness about the long-term impacts of abuse and support those in positions of trust to comprehend and address behavioural effects.

Often overlooked in reports of abuse within sports, the voices of those who have endured such experiences are crucial. The Whyte Review emphasized the importance of hearing these voices, prompting Sport England to commission this initiative.

The objective is to gather insights from survivors/Lived experiences to inform necessary changes in sports environments for enhanced safety. Collaboration with sports professionals aims to ensure comprehensive support for understanding and implementing effective practices to combat abuse.

The suite of resources includes films for training, guidance on recognising trauma, a welfare support guide, safeguarding aids, self-assessment tools for National Governing Bodies (NGBs), and a webpage listing referral support services.

This event is open to all Safeguarding Board Champions, Welfare Officers, Safeguarding leads, coaches, instructors, and training organisations, offering these valuable resources for free.
