Seeking Volunteers for Focus Groups: Understanding and Supporting Young People Who Have Gone Missing
Posted on

We are looking for volunteers, aged over 18 who have a role supporting young people with a lived experience of going missing to take part in focus groups exploring young people’s perspectives on how professionals, and friends or family may behave or feel towards a young person who has been reported missing and has now returned. The project also aims to explore ways of addressing any negative behaviours and feelings towards young people who have gone missing in the past, as well as highlighting positive ways to communicate with these young people. We also want to explore creative ways of researching these issues for future projects.
You would be invited to participate in an online focus group with others from your organisation/those with a similar role to you. Each session would take about 60 minutes of your time. You would be asked to reflect on how others have behaved towards the young people you support.
Further information is provided in the participant information sheet: Please Read
If you are interested in participating, please contact Dr Freya O’Brien ([email protected]). There is no obligation to take part.
