Job Title: Lived Experience Coordinator for Commissioned Work
Salary: £35K per annum/pro rata
Benefits: Employers pension contribution of 3%, Child Care Vouchers scheme & Annual Leave Purchase Scheme
Hours: 18.5hrs per week flexible working arrangements
Holidays: 30 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Contract: 12 month contract with possible extension
Reporting to: Deputy CEO/Direct Delivery Team Leader
Remote Working Position: Primarily based working from home but with a requirement to attend team meetings when needed

Probationary Period: 6 Months

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Lived Experience Coordinator for Commissioned Work to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate and manage commissioned work that aligns with the experiences of those with lived experience of childhood abuse through exploitation. Acting as a bridge between our project commissioner and victims and survivors you will ensure that the real-life perspectives of those directly impacted are embedded into the work, promoting inclusivity and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project leads to design and commission work that reflects authentic lived experiences.
• Serve as a key point of contact for individuals whose experiences are central to the commissioned work.
• Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and consultations to ensure that lived experiences are understood and incorporated.
• Provide insights and guidance on representation, equity, and inclusivity based on personal and professional experience.
• Review project drafts, presentations, and final products to ensure respectful and accurate portrayals of lived experiences.
• Build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Skills & Qualifications

• Highly organised and efficient with excellent time management skills.
• Experience in community engagement, project management, or advocacy.
• Knowledge of key issues affecting the community whose lived experience is central to the commissioned work.
• Ability to facilitate discussions and navigate conversations around sensitive topics.
• Previous experience in a role focused on lived experience, representation, or advocacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to translate complex, sensitive, or deeply personal experiences into actionable project insights.
• Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the importance of diverse perspectives.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
