Safe in the City Manchester (The Children’s Society)
We are a project who provides a bespoke 1:1 service to help children and young people who either are at risk from or who are running away from home or care, and have a parent support worker to support parents of these children. We work with children between the ages of 6 – 17 and meet with them following a referral from GMP, Social Care, parents and carers, Schools or Health. In fact anyone who meets are criteria can be referred by anyone into our service. We are a confidential service and will meet where the young people are comfortable sometimes this can be home school or anywhere they feel relaxed. If we cannot help a young person, we will find the people who can, and make sure they do.
